Tee with Female Thread

The SharkBite PRESS Tee with Female Thread is used to join two pipes of the same diameter to a male thread.

It is made of PPSU, Polyphenylsulfone (high performance technopolymer plastic) and its thread is a CW617N brass insert. It has a thread type BSP according to ISO 228-1.

It has a design in battlements with which it is achieved that it integrates perfectly in the body of PPSU avoiding the displacement of the insert.

It has a special conical sealing gasket made of EPDM peroxide 70. This guarantees the tightness inside the tube. The bushing is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, which guarantees the durability throughout the useful life of this press fitting.

SharkBite PRESS female tee is resistant to corrosion and impervious to scale and calcareous deposits in water. This plumbing and heating accessory has excellent resistance to hydrolysis and chemicals, even under long-term exposure to high temperatures.

It is a safe press fitting for hygienic applications and does not contain harmful substances. It is suitable for drinking water installations and for heating installations. The chemical resistance to building materials allows the female fitting to be embedded in walls and floors without the need for protection.

SharkBite PRESS tee with female thread is attached to the pipeline by a radial compression tightening tool. It is compatible with the three most common types of tightening on the market, U, RF and TH. It has an optimal size for embedded installations in low thickness partitions and, in addition, total compatibility with PEXa, PERT, PERT EVOH, PEXa EVOH and Multilayer pipes with Aluminium in ø 16 and 20mm

Tees with female thread are manufactured under ISO / 21003, ISO / 15875 and ISO / 22391, tested and approved for use at temperature and maximum working pressure of 95ºC to 10 bar.
