Connection with Female Thread and Brass Body

The SharkBite PRESS Connection with Female Thread and Brass Body serves to join a male thread.

It is manufactured entirely from brass CW617N. Its thread is type BSP, according to norms ISO 228-1.

The Connection with Female Thread and Brass Body has a special conical sealing gasket made from peroxide EPDM 70. This guarantees the tightness inside the tube.

This press fitting is resistant to corrosion and impervious to scale and calcareous deposits in the water. It possesses excellent resistance to hydrolysis and to chemicals, even under long-term high temperature exposure. This press connection is safe for hygienic applications and does not contain harmful substances. It is suitable for drinking water installations and for heating installations. Chemical resistance to building materials allows the fitting to be embedded in walls and floors without the need for protection.

SharkBite PRESS Connection with Female Thread and Brass Body is connected to the pipeline using a radial compression tightening tool. It is compatible with the three most common types of tightening on the market, U, RF and TH. It has an optimum size for embedded installations in low thickness partitions and, in addition, total compatibility with PEXa, PERT, PERT EVOH, PEXa EVOH and Multilayer pipes with Aluminium in ø 16 and 20mm.

Connections with Female Thread and Brass Body are manufactured under ISO / 21003, ISO / 15875 and ISO / 22391, tested and approved for use at temperature and maximum working pressure of 95ºC to 10 bar.
