Coupling Cooper Adapter

The SharkBite PRESS Coupling Cooper Adapter is used to join two pipes, one of them being copper.

It is manufactured from PPSU (polyphenylsulfone, a high-performance techno polymer plastic).

This sleeve has a conical sealing gasket made from EPDM peroxide 70 that guarantees the tightness in the internal part of the tube. It has an AISI 304 stainless steel cap that gives it durability throughout its life. The other bushing is from PPSU, where the copper transition adapter of 15, 18 or 22 mm, previously welded at room temperature, will be inserted.

SharkBite PRESS Cooper Adapter Coupling is corrosion resistant and impervious to scale and calcareous deposits in water. It also has excellent resistance to hydrolysis and chemicals, even under long-term exposure to high temperatures. This press fitting is perfectly safe for hygienic applications and does not contain harmful substances. It is suitable for drinking water installations and for heating installations.

The chemical resistance to building materials allows this sleeve with copper welding to be embedded in walls and floors without the need for protection.

The Coupling Cooper Adapter is connected to the pipe by means of a radial compression tightening tool. It is compatible with the three most common types of tightening on the market, U, RF and TH. It has an optimum size for embedded installations in low thickness partitions and, in addition, total compatibility with PEXa, PERT, PERT EVOH, PEXa EVOH and Multilayer pipes with Aluminium in ø 16 and 20mm.

Cooper Adapter Couplings are manufactured under ISO / 21003, ISO / 15875 and ISO / 22391, tested and approved for use at temperature and maximum working pressure of 95ºC to 10 bar.
