Coupling

The SharkBite PRESS Couplings are universally compatible.

It is manufactured from PPSU (polyphenylsulfone, a high performance technopolymer plastic).

The coupling has a conical sealing gasket made from EPDM peroxide 70. This means that the sealing is on the inside of the tube. The cap is made from AISI 304 stainless steel, which guarantees lifelong durability.

SharkBite PRESS Couplings are corrosion resistant and impervious to scale and calcareous deposits in water. It has excellent resistance to hydrolysis and chemicals, even to long-term exposure to high temperatures. This press accessory is perfectly safe for hygienic applications and does not contain harmful substances.

It is suitable for drinking water installations and for heating installations. The chemical resistance to the materials of the work allows the press to be embedded in the walls and the floor without the need of protection.

The coupling is joined to the pipe by a radial compression tightening tool. It is compatible with the three most common types of users in the market, U, RF and TH. It has an optimum size for embedded installations in low thickness partitions and, in addition, total compatibility with PEXa, PERT, PERT EVOH, PEXa EVOH and Multilayer with Aluminium in ø 16, 20, 25, 26 and 32 mm.

PRESS couplings are manufactured under ISO / 21003, ISO / 15875 and ISO / 22391, tested and approved for use at temperature and maximum working pressure of 95ºC to 10 bar.
