Elbow with Female Thread

The SharkBite PRESS Elbow with Female Thread is used to join a male thread.

It is made from PPSU, Polyphenylsulfone (high performance technopolymer plastic) and its thread is a CW617N brass insert. It has a thread type of BSP according to ISO 228-1.

It has a design that integrates perfectly in the body of PPSU avoiding the displacement of the insert.

Its special conical sealing gasket is made from EPDM peroxide 70. This guarantees the tightness inside the tube. The press fitting cap is made from AISI 304 stainless steel, to guarantee its durability throughout its useful life.

SharkBite PRESS elbow with female thread is resistant to corrosion and impervious to scale and calcareous deposits in water. It also has excellent resistance to hydrolysis and chemicals, even under long-term exposure to high temperatures.

This fitting is safe for hygienic applications and does not contain harmful substances. It is a heating accessory suitable for drinking water installations and heating installations. Chemical resistance to building materials allows the fitting to be embedded in walls and floors without the need for protection.

The female elbow of the PRESS System is attached to the pipeline by means of a radial compression tightening tool. It is compatible with the three most common types of tightening on the market, U, RF and TH. It has an optimum size for embedded installations in low thickness partitions and, in addition, total compatibility with PEXa, PERT, PERT EVOH, PEXa EVOH and Multilayer pipes with Aluminium in ø 16, 20, 25 and 26mm.

Elbows with Female Thread are manufactured under ISO / 21003, ISO / 15875 and ISO / 22391, tested and approved for use at temperature and maximum working pressure of 95ºC to 10 bar.
