Reduced Coupling

The SharkBite PRESS Reduced Coupling serves to join two pipes of different diameter.

It is manufactured from PPSU (polyphenylsulfone, a high performance technopolymer plastic).

The reduced press fitting coupling has a conical sealing gasket made from EPDM peroxide 70, which guarantees the tightness in the internal part of the tube. Its cap is made from AISI 304 hypertempled stainless steel, guaranteeing lifelong durability.

The SharkBite reduced coupling press fitting system is corrosion resistant and impervious to scale and calcareous deposits in the water. It also has excellent resistance to hydrolysis and chemicals, even under long-term exposure to high temperatures. This press fitting union system is completely safe for hygienic applications and does not contain any harmful substance.

This fitting is suitable for drinking water installations and for heating installations. Chemical resistance to building materials allows this coupling to be embedded in walls and floors without any protection.

This reduced coupling is attached to the pipe by a radial compression tightening tool. It is compatible with the three most common types of tightening on the market, U, RF and TH. It has an optimal size for embedded installations in low thickness partitions and, in addition, total compatibility with pipes PEXa, PERT, PERT EVOH, PEXa EVOH and Multilayer with Aluminium in ø 16, 20, 25, 26 and 32mm.

The reduced couplings are manufactured under ISO / 21003, ISO / 15875 and ISO / 22391, tested and approved to be used at a temperature and maximum working pressure of 95ºC to 10 bar.
