MULTILAYER Pipe

MULTILAYER PERT/AL/PERT Pipe or just MULTILAYER pipe: it is white and aluminium butt welded.

It is suitable for plumbing installations, radiator heating, underfloor heating, water cooling and industrial applications.

The SharkBite MULTILAYER pipe is composed of five layers, PERT (temperature resistant polyethylene) / ADHESIVE / ALUMINUM / ADHESIVE / PERT. This helps the pipeline have a greater concentricity and the pipe can be bent with full warranty within the bending limits. To join these layers together, an adhesive is incorporated that makes these layers completely joined. Multilayer pipes have the great advantage that they acquire and combine properties of plastic pipes with the properties of metallic materials. They are very resistant to corrosive and chemical agents.

PERT / AL / PERT pipes are light, flexible, maintain the shape / structure given over time and are 100% oxygen-impermeable. Chemical resistance to building materials allows this MULTILAYER pipe to be embedded in walls and floors without the need for protection.

They have full compatibility with SharkBite NEXUS, PRESS and Universal accessories. They are tested and approved for use at temperature and maximum working pressure of 95ºC to 10 bar. The SharkBite MULTILAYER pipe is manufactured according to ISO 21003.
